| Favorite Music | I am answering in full here the random question that blogger.com posed but didn't allow more than 400 characters. The question was "Unlike a dog, how can a turtle ever be naked?" Unlike a dog, a turtle can be naked only when it exposes its desires to another, be it human or animal. In this context, naked implies more. It implies a vulnerability in being viewed. Turtles are rarely expressive, thus their expression exposes a side of themselves that is vulnerable, despite the hard exterior. Dogs express everything all the time. Because of this, they lack the vulnerability caused by expression that is implied in the word "naked." Thus, dogs are never naked. Even shaved, they are only nude. |
