Introduction I've been practicing law for almost 25 years, with an emphasis on mass tort and "legacy liability" claims that arise from underlying product liability and environmental claims. Much of my work has been in the asbestos area, including defending companies such as GAF Corporation, W.R. Grace & Co., and various other companies that made pumps and other products. I've also been involved in many inter-company battles over rights and obligations related to underlying product liability and environmental claims, including issues regarding indemnification rights and obligations, and issues relating to "shared insurance." Since the beginning of 2000, I've practiced with the skilled and collegial lawyers who are the 35 lawyer litigation boutique known as Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd. My full bio is available at http://www.butlerrubin.com. Prior to 2000, I was a partner at a large law firm in Chicago. Over the years, I've had the good fortune to meet, work with and rely on the expertise of Steve Sellick and Tim Greene. Ultimately, we decided that a joint blog could be useful and enjoyable, and now it exists. Views expressed here are personal and are not the views of clients.
