Introduction	My name is Allan Scott and my son, Carter, is a second grader at Hillsborough Elementary School in Hillsborough, NC. When we enrolled Carter at HES, we did so with the expectation that he would attend this school for his entire time in elementary school. Unfortunately, the Orange County Board of Education is seeking to dismantle the district's highest performing elementary school and force us to find another school for Carter.
