| Introduction | I love learning about the history of my family. I wish I had realized this passion earlier in my life It may have been easier to find photos back when some of these people were still here to share their stories. I am very grateful I asked my mom to tell me about as many of her photos as she could. It brings our ancestors to life to write the stories alongside their photo. I did my first volunteer work transcribing naturalization documents for Benton County, Iowa which is where Belle Plaine (my first blog post) is located. Hope to do more in the near future. I am just finishing a professional education course in Genealogy through Boston University. It was a fun class and I learned a great deal. |
