| Introduction | Hey there! I’m Rutto Zedekia Kiptanui, but most people know me as Ruzeki. I’m a Mining Engineer by training, but my interests go way beyond minerals and machines. I currently work as a mining consultant across East Africa, a remote data analyst at Pactera Edge, and the founder/blogger behind Shadoww News — a digital space where I share ideas, stories, and bold political commentary. I have hands-on experience in mine design, project planning, mineral economics, and environmental safety. Beyond engineering, I’ve spent over 5 years in SEO writing, blog management, and digital strategy. I’ve worked with Africa Vocational Education Researchers and Consultants (AVERC), where I helped develop a TVET Mining Technology curriculum, as well as with Pacific Mining Company and Rock Link Geological Drilling, exploring gemstones and magnetite. I hold a BSc in Mining & Mineral Processing Engineering from JKUAT. More than anything, I’m passionate about using my voice and skills to “mine ideas” that drive climate action, social justice, and real change. |
