Introduction	I'm a single dad with a son at the University of Michigan. I've done lots of jobs, but never let the jobs do me. I have never identified myself as what I did. I'm just a guy trying to make it in this world alone, like we all are if you really look at it with your eyes wide open. Like I tell my son all the time when he comes up with some great bit of wisdom that I can take apart, bit by bit. You have to look at the big picture! Life is in IMAX! There's stuff going on all over the place that has something to do with why things are the way they are.
Interests	Reality. I search it out and it sometimes salves my aching mind, and sometimes makes my mind ache. Especially when it isn't recognised by the powers that be. I've had a headache almost my entire life. I love history, (the real stuff, not the Bible), science and science fiction.
Favorite Movies	Gandhi; The Last Emperor; Dr. Strangelove; Anything Ken Burns has done; Everything the Coen brothers have done; Little Buddha; (Keanu simply became Sidhartha); 2001; 1984; 1941; The Lion In Winter; and many more.
Favorite Music	Yes; Marillion; Peter Gabriel; Genesis before it got the horns; Led Zep; U2; The Beatles; Celtic music; Andreas Vollenweider; Vangelis; Pink Floyd; Rush pre-Presto.
Favorite Books	The Dune series; The First Man In Rome series by Colleen McCollough; The Lonesome Dove series by Larry McMurtry; Carl Sagan's books; books on classical civilization.

Which is easier to make a model airplane out of and why: a banana peel or a wet sock?
