Introduction	I am the married mother of three children: Mitch (18), Kevin (17), and Monica (15). Prior to having children I worked in marketing for a computer company. Once my children were born I was fortunate to quit my job and be with them fulltime. Once they began school I worked in their classrooms and volunteered for big projects. I ended up volunteering between 40 to 60 hours per week for our public schools because I really believe it is important to give back to our community any way possible. It is an important part of who I am and my philosophy in everything I do. Monica started getting sick 3 1/2 years ago and I have dedicated my life to getting her well again. The only diagnosis we have received is Lyme disease with several co-infections. She has progressively gotten worse - once she gets a symptom it stays. It is surprising how all my past marketing skills and working with my school community have become useful working with doctors and documenting our journey.
