Introduction I love my family, I love my pets, I love my friends and I STILL believe in a world where love really is all you need.
Interests animals, humanity, music, wellness, nature, writing, reading, putzing on the internet, learning, travel, rain & thunderstorms (the louder and more electric - the better), pens with the right "feel" to them, knee-high socks and leg warmers, camping, geographic isolation, coffee shops, live music events, urban landscapes, photography, watching old people interact with young people, fire, the smell of old library books, and......food. Food is good.
Favorite Movies I Heart Huckabees, What the Bleep Do We Know, The Secret, One, Bridget Jones, Under the Tuscan Sun, Sex and The City: The Movie, any of the Cirque du Soleil DVDs, Say Anything, Serendipity, Office Space, Anchorman, The US vs. John Lennon, National Velvet, Donnie Darko, White Christmas, Fargo, The Royal Tennenbaums, Being John Malkovich
Favorite Music Local artists rule :) OchO, Betty, Betty N The Gents, Chuck Nyberg, Andrew Bird, One Fast Move, Charlie Parr, Two Many Banjos, Monsters of Folk, Conor Oberst, Bright Eyes, The Beatles, The Postal Service, Azure Ray, The Faint, Sean Lennon, John Lennon, India Arie, most of the bands my brother is in (I quite dig the new CD by The Dirty Hits), Sibelius (the Finnish composer), Portishead, Harry Chapin, several punk bands from high school that still bring me back - Fifteen, Avail, Propagandhi, early Rancid, Face to Face, Dillinger Four, Strung Out, Five Dead Honkies (5DH) and who could forget No Pants or Shaved Cat? - other enjoyable music ---> The Bangles & Debbie Gibson, I went through a big swing music phase in college (and do still like the old music - reminds me of cleaning for Grandma and Gran'pa in West Kato), and my latest adoration is bluegrass (especially local and hopefully live).
Favorite Books The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, You Can Be Happy No Matter What, The Celestine Prophecy, anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, 1984, anything by Kurt Vonnegut, The Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach, anything that makes me think, laugh, cry, or get lost in my mind, or in reality, for that matter
