| Introduction | Richard Levert has been a Rotarian for 32 years, first with the Rotary Club of Timmins and since 1983 with the Rotary Club of Sudbury, serving as President in 1999-2000. He has chaired and served on various club committees, including Sick & Visiting, Easter Seals, WCS, Foundation, Rotary Park, and Youth. At the District level, Richard was an Assistant Governor from 2003-2006. He has served on District committees such as Youth Exchange, Rotaract, and Area Locations-New Clubs. Richard is a Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary Foundation Major Donor. Richard, is fluent in French and English, is a father of two adult children and has been a lifelong resident of Northern Ontario. He is president of The Levert Corporation, with offices across Northern Ontario. For more than 25 years, Levert has been employing professional personnel in the mining, industrial, commercial, and construction sectors to companies in Ontario and nationwide. Richard is proud of his business and Rotary accomplishments and is looking forward to his year as District Governor. “It will be a year of collaborating, learning and sharing ideas, with the goal of leaving Rotary a little better than we found it”. |
