| Introduction | I live in the mountains of Western Maine with my wife and a menagerie of pets. First and foremost, I am a writer; I write because I have to, because the stories must come out, but now that I'm getting good at it I'm turning it into a career. Until now, I've worked as a welder and metal fabricator, a private security guard, a railroad freight car mechanic, and as the night manager of a 24/7 convenience store, just to name a few. When I'm not writing, I'm either outdoors or reading a book, depending on the weather and/or time of day. I am obsessed with the numbers 7 and 13, and will buy apples only in said quantities.
