| Introduction | I am a Christian, mother of 3 (step-mom to 4 more), grandmother of 2 and wife of 16 years. I work part-time as a cashier at the local craft store (oh, what fun that is ;), love arts n crafts, and enjoying 15+ years of clean and sober life. God has blessed me well in my life. | Interests | I am a simple woman with simple tastes. I love life, and try to live it to the fullest I am happily married to a wonderful man, Jerry. We have 7 children between us... Brett 27, Michael 27, Sam 25, Jerry Jr 23, Heather 18, Joshua 11, and Matthew 9. We have one grandson Jerry the 3rd, and a newborn granddaughter Mary Marie. We have been together for 14 years. I have almost 14 years of sobriety. God blessed me with two beautiful little boys as a result of my sobriety, Joshua and Matthew. I am a Christian woman who lives by faith. I try to practice what I preach, but know that I'm by far NOT PERFECT!!!I attend a Bible based non-demoninational church, New Hope. I taught Sunday School last summer. I loved it so much, that I decided to stay last fall. I taught 3rd & 4th graders. Our class theme is FROG=Fully Rely On God. We even have a mascot named Mr Ribbit, who travels home with a student a month, who then gets to be "Christian of the Month". I'm off for the summer and will teach 5th and 6th graders this coming fall. The most awesome experience happened to me in October 07. I was in the hospital, septic with an infected gall bladder. I was admitted for several days, waiting to have surgery (to take the blasted thing out). They came to get me on a Sunday morning between 9-9:30am. They wheeled me in to the operating room at exactly 10:30am. Which is exactly when my Sunday School class starts. Turns out that as I was getting on the operating table and getting all hooked up to the machines, my class was singing Praise & Worship. And as I was going off to sleep they were praying for me. Here's the AWE moment, no one knew when I was having surgery...Our God is an Awesome God!!! My favorite saying is "WALK WITH JESUS BY YOUR SIDE AND ANGELS WILL ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BACK." |
| Favorite movies | Favorite Movies and Movie makers... All time favorite is MASK with Cher and Sam Elliot. Jim Carrey and Wil Smith are my favorite movie makers right now. I like sappy chick flicks, mysteries, comedies, Disney/Pixar, docudrama's. Not into anything that is 'blood n guts', don't have the stomach for it. |
| Favorite music | Musical Interests... I like it all!!! Currently I am really into Christian rock... Jars of Clay, MerycMe, Third Day, Casting Crowns, Kutless, and Kirk Franklin are among the few... but I really do like it all, classic rock, country, pop, R&B, soul, some metal and even disco (yeah, I'm that old)... FAV rap is Sugar Hill Gang "Rapper's Delight" I like rap except for that """nasty""" foul sounding crap. Enjoy the tunes on my playlist, for a taste of what I like. |
