| Introduction | LeRoy is a Hoosier, who is retired and lives in Flat Rock, North Carolina with his wife. Lee is a graduate of Drake University with a Bachelors Degree in History and a graduate of Northwestern University with a Masters Degree in Political Science. Lee worked for the federal government from 1964-2001. He served as Staff Director of the United States Senate Subcommittee on Health and Scientific Research and also was an Associate Director at the National Institutes of Health. Lee was a member of the Senior Executive Service of the federal government. Lee has also been the Director of Federal Liaison for the Association of American Medical Colleges and a Senior Policy Advisor for NAMI, the National Alliance Against Mental Illness. Lee has been predicting the outcomes of Presidential and Congressional elections since 1948. From 2008 until 2018 Lee has written op-ed columns on national politics that have been published by the Asheville Citizen-Times, the Charlotte Observer, or the Hendersonville Times-News in North Carolina. All of Lee's columns respecting constitutional law issues have also been republished by SCOTUSBLOG. |
