Introduction | As an artist, I am inspired by the way the light illuminates a subject; it can set the mood or completely alter it. It is that fascination, combined with a pursuit of details, which informs my artistic expression. My passion lies in the exploration of lighting and emotional moments; it is through the media of charcoal, pencil, and colored pencil that I realize this pursuit. It is always my goal to craft emotionally charged compositions through the dramatic use of light, which stems from the Baroque period. As such, my art is founded on a unique blend of the realistic and the romantic ideal. |
