Introduction	My name is Tom and I have been interested in bonsai since 2007 when I saw the fantastic bonsai display created by Lee Verhorevoort at Whitgift school. From then on I have become addicted to this hobby and now have a total of 9 trees and some raw material growing in my small, shady London garden. My favourite style is root-over-rock and I have a fascination for broadleaf/deciduous trees as I find them easier to prune, grow and develop. I also find them more attractive so my collection is mainly made up of them. My personal favourite tree for bonsai is the Japanese White Beech as I love its ghostly white bark contrasted with its autumnal leaf colour.
