About me

Gender Female
Occupation Psychic astrologer, journalist, writer
Location London, United Kingdom
Introduction My real name is Henrietta - Henri stuck (like names do - for no reason) from when I was sixteen and at boarding school, which I hated. (Well, it's no worse than Hen or Henny, which were sometimes awarded to me in my youth, and when I started writing a lot of horoscope columns the full nine syllables was too much of a mouthful to put on a by-line - Henri Ll. D in itself is more than long enough!) I am a psychic astrologer, doing personal readings, and I love my work - which I've been doing for (almost) three decades. I also write. Work website: http://www.henrillewelyndavies.com/
Interests Astrology, literature (especially poetry), cats. The blog is intended to be mostly about my family, some of whom became famous (in a niche sort of way) accidentally - largely because some died young and tragically, as well as because they were strongly associated with Peter Pan. When Peter Pan gets publicised most Christmases (and occasionally in other seasons), tales of my family (and the famous 'Barrie curse') tend to come along out too.
Favorite Movies Sound of Music, Gone With the Wind, Cabaret (though dated and with longeurs now - I can still weep at that song that supports the wrong side), Les Enfants du Paradis, Cube, Spirited Away
Favorite Music Opera (especially Verdi), Beatles, Queen, the clarinet, the harp
Favorite Books Middlemarch, many others. Rite of Passage books I read as a teenager made most impression in my lifetime: Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man - James Joyce, Memoirs of a Dutiful Daughter - Simone de Beauvoir, Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger, Yeats, Eliot Four Quartets, C.S.Lewis's Narnia books, E. Nesbit

Lionesses have no manes. How do they know when they've grown up?

Ask Peter Pan. I'm not God.
