| Introduction | I have led a full and interesting life which I hope continues. I have been blessed with a good wife (Sue) and family (Tim, Katie, & Rosie) who keep me on my toes. Work wise my life has been varied achieving much throughout my career. I initially went into Hotel Management becoming a member of The Hotel and Catering Institutional Management Association (HCIMA). Qualified as a Chef with Distinction (C&G 706/2). In 1980 I qualified as an Accountant (CIMA). Started a recruitment company from scratch and sold it in 2001. My appreciation of Bordeaux Wines started when I was at Catering College after a lecture on the topic of World Wines. Since then my interest has grown into what can only be described as a ‘love affair’ with one of the best wine producing regions of the world! I have often thought that wines are like people. You do not enjoy the company of everyone you meet but those you meet and like become your friends. Bordeaux has become a very good friend of mine and I would like to share her with others who I believe will appreciate her friendship. |
