| Introduction | I'm a composer, pianist, historian of 19th Century classical performance practice, and, if you're still awake, director of communications for the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. For the 15 preceeding years, I was arts writer for the Colorado Springs Gazette, where my writing was honored three times by the American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors: 2nd place in 2008, first place in 2002, and honorable mention in 1999 (all in the "Excellence in Feature Writing" category). My wife Lauren and I have written an opera, "Pike's Dream"; a musical, "All About Love," (with Murray Ross); and several plays, including "YourArmy™," "Failing Consumption," and "Maynard Dines In." |
