| Introduction | Over the years my journey has been one of deep exploration, both in our world and within the interior landscape of my heart. During all of my wandering, traveling, and quest for more a question would often rise “what does it look like to live from my heart?” I used to believe that a life of heart was lived primarily out of adventure. And while true, God has expanded that view to include so much more. I have realized that the exterior exploration and wandering was only for a season, and was not meant to be a way of life. In the more recent years, God has called me to a shifting of seasons, to a settling down. Really, he has called me home. The amazing irony has been that this call to be settled has not been a call to boredom as I once feared, but rather has been one of the greatest adventures I have ever embarked on. It has called me to risk, to vulnerability, to a deep trusting that my God will provide for me, that he will continue to answer the “how” of my question, and he has invited me to a level of intimacy with him and others that I have never known before--a level that I could not have discovered had I stayed only in “adventure.” |
