Introduction My cooking inspiration comes entirely from my family. I was born into a world where the day revolves around the next meal! While one person is cleaning dishes from breakfast,the other is starting to prep for dinner. Special occasions or no occasion at all are both reason to get out the family recipe box or the new cookbook to start planning the perfect menu. Food is not about sustenance where I'm from- but about bringing people together to create and enjoy the experience of a meal. It's about the table setting,the wine,and carefully selecting each dish as part of a cohesive and utterly delicious menu. I have loved to cook ever since I had to stand on a kitchen chair to see the stove. It has always been my only real hobby and my passion grows more every day. Whether I'm throwing together a week-night meal from whatever's in the pantry or planning an elaborate dinner party, I am always playing with new combinations, flavors, and techniques- using the freshest local ingredients possible.
Interests Cooking of all kinds from baking to grilling, large scale entertaining to intimate two person meals. I don't necessarily love following recipes- if I were a musician I would say I play by ear... No technical training what so ever- everything that I know I learned from years of watching my mother and family in the kitchen and weekend mornings on the couch in front of FoodTV.
