| Introduction | EVENTUALLY we each will write a complete history of what brought us here. There's so much to say about it we don't know where to start. Because freedom of expression is so important to us, we are blogging about what we've been going through after leaving a toxic church. It's a place to record our feelings and help us process what happened. Lest you dub us as bitter and unforgiving with the need to move on, we reassure you that we HAVE moved on and we ARE walking in forgiveness as best as we can. But it may be a different picture than the typical Christian expects to see. We ask lots of questions which makes certain types very uncomfortable. If there's a possibility we can point to reality, we have hope. It's time for Christians to get our heads out of the sand and realize that what we've chosen to ignore for so long should come to the light. Covering up for church leadership because of hero worship gives too much power to church leadership and is no longer acceptable. After all, that's what got us into trouble in the first place and caused our paths to veer off track when it could have been avoided. |
