Introduction | Joseph Ganem is a professor at Loyola College in Maryland where he teaches physics. He is the author of award-winning book: The Two Headed Quarter: How to See Through Deceptive Numbers and Save Money on Everything You Buy. The book covers a wide range of topics that touch on on almost all aspects of our consumer lives and shows how numbers are routinely used to fool people. Among his other interests is chess. He is an expert at correspondence chess and since 1991 has been the editor of The Chess Correspondent, a magazine that has been published by The Correspondence Chess League of America since 1940, making it one of the oldest chess magazines in the United States. In his spare time he enjoys playing a wide variety of music on the piano. Currently he resides in Baltimore County, Maryland, with his wife and three children. |
