| Introduction | GVHSS Ramavarmapuram is situated at Ramavarmapuram, the fourth division of Thrissur Corporation, nearly 4 Kms from Thrissur town. It began as a U.P. School in the year 1939. In 1960, our school that is the High School section was started near by the U.P School as a separate establishment (unit). In 1984 this school was upgraded to a Vocational Higher Secondary School, with two Agricultural Courses. Later in 1990 two more Engineering Courses were added and the school at present boasts of four Vocational courses namely : (1) Agriculture Crop Health Management (Old Name-Plant Protection) (2) Agriculture Business and Farm services (Old Name-Nursery Management and Ornamental Gardening) (3) Electrical and Electronics Technology (Old Name-Maintenance and Repairs of Domestic Appliances) and (4) Electronics and Communication Technolgy (Old Name-Maintenance and Repairs of Radio and TV) . Another fact of utmost pride is that the luminous stars of Malayalam poetry Sri.G.SankaraKurup, Sri.Vailoppilly SreedharaMenon and Sri.Mullanezhy Neelakandan had taught here. |
