Introduction	Kashmir Institute of National Development (KIND) is a not for profit NGO registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Organizations (Registration and Control) Act, 1982 with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council. Registration No. 188/2000 MISSION  To mobilize the people to develop their own capability and shoulder the responsibility for the sake of their own welfare and progress through protection of their environment, through balanced utilization of natural resources and through active participation in the national development initiatives.  To register the support of state apparatus and to enlist the people's partnership in creation of a civil society, to promote good governance and to give rise to social justice so as to create an egalitarian society, proud of its roots and ready to develop positive response to the call of duty, here-to-fore undefined.
