| Favorite movies | Musicals, esp those of Rogers and Hammerstein; Sci Fi like the new Star Trek (post Shatner as Kirk), Stargate, Serenity, etc; Romantic Comedy; Comedy esp when it is "life situations are funny" not "let's put someone down" humor; some drama, although I don't like gratuitous violence and blood for their own sake. I don't watch Horror or Thrillers, I get nightmares too easily. |
| Favorite music | I really like a variety of music styles, it depends on my mood what I listen to. I enjoy piano pieces by Chopin to Big Band like Glenn Miller, the pop music of the 50's, 60's and 70's (and some of the more recent pop artists), I enjoy some of the Latin pop like Ricky Martin and Marc Anthony (it is great music to clean house to!), and country music, especially the newer country (not a big fan of nasal twang though). I don't like most rap, not because of the style but because of the content. I don't like excessive swearing or the hate and anger towards authority and women that most of them seem to contain. I like music that feed my soul and make me feel good. |
| Favorite books | The Bible, romance novels, especially those in the Silhouette Special Edition series, books about Genealogy and History, and most anything I can get my hands on since I love to read! I usually have at LEAST one book I am reading, sometimes several at the same time. |
