IntroductionA curious woman, now in her early seventies, has weathered storms and better for them. Retired and retiring, she spends time reading, writing, and researching having been caught in the new wave of truth seekers. With an open heart and minds she is aware of a world far removed from what she was led to believe. She has tucked away plenty of knowledge from her pursuit of what's true. Challenged by lifes chaos and mystery, she thinks about the unknown, illustrious and perfect Unknown. She is aware of the amazement and remarkable wonder of the world and her community. She feels comfort in being assured that 'to the listening ear...all nature sings, and 'round us rings the music of the spheres.A Christian who loves to sing, play the piano, adores her daughters & four grandchildren, she is thankful for small mercies and flowing rewards.
InterestsReading 'til the 'cows come home'; writing to my hearts content; letting music surround my senses. Getting caught up in fascinating stuff on the computer, in books, in life.
Favorite moviesMany to be sure. Witness comes to mind first. Enchanted April; British films are extra special in my mind. Finding Neverland, Casablanca, It's A Wonderful Life, Pride and Prejudice,
Favorite musicHow can one pin-point a specific fav? I gravitate to the classics; then old tunes my Dad would sing and play...the big band era, Broadway hits. Opera intrigues me and jazz keeps me searching for more.
Favorite booksHere we go again. After all my reading years, how in the world can I ever choose a few. Here goes though. The Happy Hollisters and Nancy Drew to start. Then Daphne DuMaurier - read every one of her books. Coming up the maturity pipeline: books about China - too many to mention; self-help stuff; loads of fiction, and a favourable amount of non. I love to read. My mother tells me that out of all my siblings, I was the one who read constantly. I remember riding my bike to the library and returning home with a basket full of books. I would get comfy on the back sun porch and disappear between the pages. Bliss.
