| Introduction | Initially I wanted to become a writer. Well, funny how things change....I decided to teach writing instead. It wasn't until I started teaching that I discovered I really enjoy working with teens. They definitely keep you feeling young, or remind you of how pathetically old you are. Anyway, I love to read fiction and memoirs. I am also addicted to reality t.v. Not the stupid junk on MTV, but the really good stuff on Oxygen and Bravo. I never cared too much for t.v. until my husband started working seven days a week and was constantly on the road. Food and t.v. have become my better half. I definitely need to work on the food thing! My two children keep me busy. My daughter is ten and she is very active in school and at a local dance studio. My son enjoys playing football and baseball. I love watching him play. We also have a dog, Molly. She is a lap dog all the way. Over the next few years I would like to return to graduate school and get my specialist and eventually a Ph.D. Most of all, I want to be there for my children and for my students. |
