About me

Industry Internet
Location Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Introduction In 2004, I derailed plans for a PhD in Computer Science so that I could take up residence at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Poughkeepsie, NY. Then, in 2006, after two years of neurotic life at the monastery with interspersed periods as an IT consultant in Manhattan and one lengthy trip to India, I moved to Minneapolis to start a company called MediaShelf. These days I'm still running MediaShelf and I'm the technical lead for an international open source software project called Hydra. As with anyone, my life is an intersection of countless seemingly disparate ventures. I try to meet that with the playfulness, confidence, and compassion that Chogyam Trungpa called crazy wisdom. Hopefully I will improve with practice.
