| Introduction | I began training with kettlebells in January 2012 after meeting an RKC, Ross Meyer, in November 2011 to help me with a shoulder/neck injury. Through FMS and other methods we worked on rehabilitating the injuries with contemporaneously working on changing my posture, mobility, flexibility etc. Adding kettlebells after improving these issues provided me with an incredible amount of increased strength, power, flexibility, and knowledge of my body. It has changed my life. I came to this from a background of "traditional" (read: uninformed) weightlifting starting back in 1996 when I entered college (about 15 years of "uninformed" training). In a mere one year period I have dramatically improved my body through kettlebell training and this has set a course for me that I can continue to improve my technique, knowledge, and abilities for the course of the rest of my life. This blog is intended to help me make the habit of logging each day's training regime so I can chart progress in my training over time . As Dan John has said (paraphrasing), "You can choose not to log your training, but if you don't, do not come ask me what you are doing wrong." |
