About me

Location Somerset, Pennsylvania, United States
Introduction Cascio's was established in 1918 by the Cascio family here in Somerset Pennsylvania. Cascio's Fruit Market stayed with the Cascio's until it was purchased in the 60's by Arthur Brougher who worked as a stock boy for the Cascio family. Arthur showed an outstanding work ethic and when the Cascio's decided to look outside the family for new ownership, Art was the obvious choice. Art and his wife Shirley ran the store until 1986 when the market was purchased by their son, Don. Don also worked at the store after school from the time he was in high school and he was ready to take Cascio's into the next century. Don and his wife Jodi (me!) currently own and operate the store with attention to the roots that were established by the Cascio's all those years ago, while still making the market relevant to today's families. Like our tag line says..Preserving yesterday and keeping it fresh for tomorrow. Working at Cascio's every day is a pleasure and feels like being entrusted with part of Somerset's historical landscape. Oh and did we mention we love produce?
