| Introduction | I am thrilled - and a bit aghast - to be beginning my eleventh year teaching at Hunnewell. It does not seem possible that Hunnewell has been my home for more than a decade! Teaching, my first dream career, is actually my third career. After I graduated from Mount Holyoke with a B.A. in Economics, I began a 20-year business career in manufacturing, logistics, and enterprise software implementation. As so often happens, I came to a crossroad in my life – a decision point and an opportunity - and I realized I could revisit and possibly even achieve my dream of becoming an elementary educator. I moved back to Massachusetts to earn a Masters in Education from Lesley University and now, more than a decade has passed! Sometimes we have to work hardest and – yes, wait for the right moment – to achieve what we want the most! I hope that I can help your child embrace perseverance in her/his learning too!
