| Introduction | This blog forms part of the Thinking Africa project of the Department of Political and International Studies at Rhodes University, South Africa. Thinking Africa was initiated in 2011 in order to stimulate thinking and debate about Africa. Thinking Africa's activities include the presentation of post-graduate courses, public seminars and annual colloquiums. Our 2014 colloquium will be on the theme NGOs and Social Justice in Africa.
