| Introduction | I am married to a wonderful man, Daniel Root, we've been married for almost 5 yrs now. We met at St. Peters Orthodox Church in Madison, MS. I have a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, and I enjoyed working in healthcare for the 2-1/2 years I worked in a lab. I come from a "medical family"- dad's a medtech, mom's an RN, brother's a pharmacist. I love food and am interested (ok borderline obsessed) with how a healthy diet can decrease the risks of chronic illnesses plus make one feel better in the present. I took 1 year of nutrition classes at USM in Hburg, but Daniel & I decided to come back to Jackson. After running a bakery out of my home for a few years, I'm a full-time mom now. We are blessed with a sweet and wild little boy! |
