Introduction	My great joy is to be able to open the scriptures and show others how much God loves us! God's matchless Word declares God's great love for us and His Will for us! I always endeavor to let God's Word speak for itself, without private interpretation. If a section or topic is difficult to understand, basic keys to biblical study can help enlighten us. One great key is to endeavor to understand difficult verses in light of the clear verses on the same subject. We can also look at the subject in the context and consider where the topic or words have been used before in the scriptures. Do we have an accurate understanding of the words used right in the verse? Is there an idiom, custom or cultural influence from the land and times of the Bible that would help us understand the scriptures more clearly? Are these scriptures written to us; are they applicable to us; or are they for our learning? With simple keys, you can go a long way in understanding the scriptures. It is my great joy to help others understand the scriptures for themselves so that they can know His love, enjoy His presence in their lives, and walk in fellowship with Him.
