Chris Anderson
My blogs
| Introduction | Soccer By The Numbers is written by Chris Anderson who found himself keeping goal for a German 4th division team at age 17. Mainly due to the team's lack of alternatives, he managed to hold on to the starting position for a couple of seasons and earned a few D-Marks in the process. When a 3rd division team inquired about a transfer, he decided to retire from active play and go to university instead. Lacking imagination, he prolonged his stay in the university, eventually earning a PhD and becoming a professor at an Ivy League university in the United States. Today he's a social scientist who works on political economy and political sociology, and has held appointments at leading universities and business schools, including Oxford University and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Anderson is also an internationally recognized expert on so-called multilevel statistical models of behavior.
