| Introduction | Welcome to the Rhea-Craig Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Rhea-Craig is a local chapter in the Cherokee District, Tennessee Society DAR and National Society DAR. The Rhea-Craig Chapter was chartered in Sweetwater, TN. in 1931. Rhea-Craig Chapter meets monthly in the Sweetwater Public Library. Membership in the DAR honors and preserves the legacy of our Patriot ancestors. Over two hundred years ago, American Patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. Through participation in the Society’s programs and activities you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation and promoting educational and patriotic endeavors. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
