Introduction What is there to say about a bald, middle-aged man who isn't quite sure what he wants to do when he grows up? And that drives my wife nuts. But two things I have always been passionate about are Bible study and writing. So it made sense to combine them—read the Bible and write about what I read. That is useful for the sermons I write, which I preach as a Licensed Minister in the United Church of Christ. Since God is so much a part of who I am it is hard not to make God a part of my writing. The good thing is, God created me with a wacky sense of humor—another thing that drives my wife nuts—which I try to inject into my writing whenever I can. So, I guess I actually have figured out what I want to do when I grow up. Now the challenge is to transition from optometrist to writer. Towards that goal, I am the author of two books, which you can check out by clicking on the links above. I live in PA with Deb, the wife I drive nuts. We have three children, two children-in-law, and four grandchildren, all of whom make life fun and interesting.

You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?

Remembering that God is the one who gave me the talent and intelligence to write it in the first place.
