| Introduction | I have been teaching for the past ten years, eight of those years have been at Skaith Elementary in St. Joseph, MO. I spent eight years teaching Kindergarten, one year teaching first grade, and am just about to complete my first year in second grade. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1997 with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on receiving my Master's Degree in Assessment at Missouri Western State University. I am currently the Youth Program Director for Prairie Lands Writing Project, our local National Writing Project site. Although I love teaching all subjects, teaching children to write is my passion. In addition to teaching second grade, I am also the proud mother of two onry boys. Andrew is nine and Cameron is two. Between my job, taking classes, writing project, my boys, and my husband I stay very busy. :) |
