| Introduction | After many years teaching at the chalk face of a university, I have left higher education to spend more time in the life of the mind (learning from the fine example of Tony Benn). I am now a Lady of Leisure, and am enjoying the panoply of what London has to offer, from joining a choir to attending an iftar. Mary Wollstonecraft is the first project for this new phase, since she is a real London heroine on the world stage. After that, who knows? With a Swiss Army knife and a string of pearls, a lady can go anywhere: all reasonable offers considered. |
