Introduction	Don't let the Carriage mislead you... it's not about travel, other than the travel of a platen on a typewriter... I started my love affair with office equipment in the mid 1980s when I began a computer studies course - and discovered a love of machinery that was all in the process of being ousted by the beige-boxes of IBM. My first job was working with the machinery as a Business Machinery Technician - so I learnt how to repair them. That was in the late 80s, and now I work in a completely different field. But I still love the machinery... I have three different offices in my home - all for different times and different tasks. That's besides the odd places where machinery crops up for no other reason than I like it.
