Introduction	I have a longstanding indebtedness to the Wakefield Hospice who provided palliative care to my late husband John during his battle with lung cancer in 1991. As a family we have never forgotten the special care and much needed emotional support we received at this most difficult time in our lives. When an opportunity presents itself we do our best to support the hospice in any way that we can. Following retirement walking has become my ‘thing’ and I hope by taking on these different walking challenges I can raise some much needed funds and give something back to this very worthy local charity.
