| Introduction | I am 52 years old, live in Hamburg/Germany and led a normal life until the autumn of 2015. Then I developed severe health problems and ended up being diagnosed with a chronic, rare and incurable disease called Pulmonary Hypertension in April 2016. My form of PH is called IPAH. Since then, my life changed drastically. I no longer work in my job, I don't travel much anymore and even the most common daily things tire me out. Life is very restricted with this deadly condition but I do LIVE, thanks to medications and support of excellent physicians. I am on a triple medication therapy with Macitentan, Riociguat and Trepostinil which is delivered through an implanted infusion pump in my body. This blog is about the daily life & struggles & thoughts when facing such a rare disease. |
