About me

Gender Female
Introduction Well to begin with I am cuttingly witty, mildly brilliant, playfully coy, tempestuous at times, strikingly beautiful in an unconventional way, a good cheerer upper and enormously modest. I'm a fly-by-the seat-of-my-pants kind of mommy, I leave the house without a diaperbag, go grocery shopping before naptime. I enjoy a good adjective and drinking cheap wine in a hot bath. I am incredibly fearful of spiders, bears and using jumper cables. However I remain calm in the face of adversity, especially in situations that do not involve the aforementioned spiders, bears or jumper cables. I am the crazy proud mommy of a two year old son and a 10 month old daughter.
Interests Funning it up with friends and family, cooking and gardening (yeah that's right I'm a big girl now), photography, music, discussions with my hubby, wrangling children in my own personal circus.
Favorite Movies Rush (favorite of all time), Virgin Suicides, Talented Mr. Ripley, Elizabeth, Summer of Sam, 200 Cigarettes, Legends of the Fall, Sweet November, Forrest Gump, Almost Famous, All Dogs Go to Heaven (the only movie to really make me cry), the old classics (i.e. Dazed and Confused, Breakfast Club, Dirty Dancing, St. Elmo's Fire, PCU, etc.)
Favorite Music In a nutshell: classic rock power ballads, dirty loud guitar solos without irony, folky feminist songstresses, bluesy acoustic jams, lyrics that tell stories, music to dance on your coffee table to, when the radio plays full versions of really long songs late at night (like Crazy Diamond with the six minute intro.), my hubby playing guitar in the basement when he thinks that I am not around (especially when he'll rip into a little bit of Voodoo Child), Rockyabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of your fav. rockers (the Metallica one is hilarious and the Led Zeppelin one is genius!) oh and cowbell solos!
Favorite Books oh there are hundreds some prolific some bodice rippers here are a few: Rilla of Ingleside, Charlotte's Web, Oleander, I Know This Much Is True, anything by Phillipa Gregory, Running With Scissors, A Home at the End of the World, The Lovely Bones, She's Come Undone, The Witching Hour, Cry to the Heavens, Feast of All Saints, The Red Tent, Where the Crow Flies, Fall On Your Knees, Hammer of the Gods, The Dirt, Beloved, Gone With the Wind, Pilgrim, Piano Man's Daughter ...
