| Introduction | My name is Heidi Buckner and I have been teaching in the David Douglas School District for 16 years. Most of those years have been as a third grade teacher. In my opinion, it's the best grade! My husband is a 4th grade teacher at West Powellhurst. We've been married for 7 years and have twin 4 year old boys named Bobby and Henry. As you can imagine our boys keep us pretty busy! I am so lucky to be able to work as a job share team again this year. This allows me to continue teaching, which is a passion for me, and spend time with my family. I will always be in the classroom on Thursdays and Fridays as well as every other Wednesday. I look forward to getting know your and your family this year. Together we will make a strong team to support your child's emotional, and educational needs. |
| Interests | I love to travel with my family and one of my favorite places to go is anywhere with a beach! At home I love to garden, read and play with my kids. |
| Favorite movies | Lately I've been watching lots of kids movies and two of my favorites are Finding Nemo and the new Minions movie that came out this summer. |

| Favorite books | When I have time to read I love historical fiction and suspenseful books. Nothing too scary though! |
