| Introduction | No matter how much you try to avoid it, earning a living will eventually rot your brain. Sure, experience brings expertise, but expertise is nothing more than narrow-minded attention to a particular subject. My Daily List is my attempt to save my brain from an early death. Every day, I must stare down a blank page and force my flaccid grey-matter to think of something. Some days I might comment on the world around me. Other days I might comment on the world inside my head. The lists might be boring or inspired. Funny or pretentious. It doesn't matter as long as my brain gets up off its fat ass and spends a few moments showing some effort. |
