IntroductionI was meant to do design my whole life. Growing up on Mercer Island, I vividly remember spending the night at my new third-grade-friend's house, cataloging every detail of their home... its architecture, layout, how neat it was that it had a "kids" wing while the master bedroom was upstairs all by itself. I don’t know what we had for dinner or what games we played, but to this day, I could draw for you every detail of her home. With an eye for detail, a love for architecture, and confidence in my ability to connect with people, I ventured into the world of design and found my niche. I was fortunate to work under a very very talented and fun lady who became not only my mentor but one of my closest friends. I have recently moved to Cle Elum and am excited to be designing these beautiful high-end craftsman/rustic/northwest style homes so popular in this gorgeous part of the country. As a fan of natural materials, the design of this area speaks my love language. The winds brought me here unexpectedly. I found the love of my life and am excited to start a design business that reflects the type of home I would design for myself. I feel grateful; no complaints.
InterestsBeing with my kids, watching them laugh and interact with each other, spending time with my new cowboy husband, reading books, re-arranging my furniture, shopping through inspirational boutiques and design stores, slowly looking at pictures in design magazines, being with my friends, learning something new, laying out in the sun, drinking coffee, and now, although possibly a temporary interest - cooking for my family, especially the men and boys in my life.
Favorite moviesI am Sam, Wedding Planner, My Best Friend's Wedding
Favorite music... most of the music my kids love, some of the music my hubby loves... turning more into a country girl every day... sometimes I need to pinch myself. Anything with a great beat and non-nasty lyrics, anything that makes my heart stop to listen.
Favorite booksShadow of the Wind, Memoirs of a Geisha, Memory Keeper's Daughter, basically anything my best friend and her daughter recommends because she's the most amazing woman I know ...
