Introduction	What do you get when you mix an engineer, a nutritionist and a small plot of land? You get Flip Flop Farms. Michael and Madison Whitley invested in a 0.13 acre lot that is slowly turning into a semi-sustainable plot of land. With approximately 300 square feet of garden space, 100,000 Italian bees (in 2 bee hives) and 4 Plymoth Barred Rock chickens, the farm is providing us with fresh vegetables, fruits, honey and eggs. We have always taken an interest in eating local and now we are able to take our produce and use it to experiement in the kitchen. Together with our beloved beagle, Peanut, our goal is to eat local and live local. You never know what will come next to Flip Flop Farms, as we are always knee deep and still digging...
