Introduction	I strive to be an uncomplicated person (unsuccessfully at times). I’m not the greatest scholar, musician or philosopher, but I appreciate those individuals who shine in these areas. I love to read and write. I am a poster child for ADHD. I enjoy people. Life has been good to me. I have been blessed with a wonderful wife and fantastic children. Although my church, friends, and family have problems, I wouldn’t trade them for anyone else’s. I no longer find joy or value in proving my point just for the sake of being right; I want truth. I am satisfied with the quality of life found in books, music, food, and good company. I trust that God is in control, but take responsibility for my own actions. I don’t envy your power, wealth, authority, or sophistry. If you want to influence me, be my friend. I feel genuine sorrow for lonely people. I have extremely liberal theology. I believe forgiveness is healthy and pride is dangerous. My primary regrets in life are the times I have hurt people. I love the past, and future, but not as much as the present.
