About me

Location Seattle, WA, United States
Introduction I am privileged to both serve as a priest associate of St. David of Wales Episcopal Church in Portland, OR (http://www.saintdavidpdx.org/) and to be a Ph.D. student in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington in Seattle, where I am undertaking a multi-sited project on the spiritual/existential dimensions of climate change. I am experimenting with ethnographic methods as a means of "doing" practical climate ethics and (eventually) constructive eco-liberation theology. I hope my work will be of service to that global constellation of social movements which are now organizing for "climate justice". Since entering college in 1999, my vocation has been at the intersection of religion and ecology. I received an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School and a Certificate in Religion and Ecology from the Boston Theological Institute in 2009.
