IntroductionI love making art, and exploring beautiful things. I am a writer, and hope to shortly have one of my stories published. I'm currently looking for its home. I have many stories, but they sit in a drawer "baking" until I feel comfortable with all of its revisions to send it away. We'll see how that goes.
InterestsI am interested in languages, especially Scots Gaelic. I have studied German, some French and Latin. I am interested in Syntax and Cognitive studies / Psycholinguistics. I have a degree in English with an emphasis in Linguistics. I hope to get a masters and eventually PhD studying something I love, like Gaelic. Teaching appeals to me.
Favorite moviesOLD! I love old Cary Grant, Doris Day, Film Noir (Hepburn and Tracy are fun).. Hitchcock and I have a strange but beautiful affinity for old Universal Horror (Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein... etc) If I were to look at newer film, i like stories that empower women. (Tomb Raider type). Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby... love them too.
Favorite musicTom Waits. Celtic music, Deloris Keane, DeDannen, Mary Jane Lamond, lots lots lots more. Classical- my favorite song in any genre is Tchaikovsky's "Violin Concerto in D major" although its Andante in G minor is the best part of that piece, in my opinion. It's wonderful. I love American Folk Music, Dylan, Kate Wolf, on and on. Loreena McKennitt is at the top of my lists.
Favorite books"Strange News from Another Star" by Hermann Hesse. Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Harry Potter. LOTR. Hobbit. Short literary fiction- Tony Early, Robert Olen Butler... I like Stephen King's book, "On Writing."

When you spilled the milk, did it look like the moon?

No, but my brother couldn't stop singing, "The night the milk got spoiled" in place of, "The Night Chicago Died.' It didn't help.
