| Introduction | I was 'officially' diagnosed with NF 2 yrs ago, although I have known about NF my entire life. I hid from NF, just like my mother did...never really wanting to believe my reality. I have 3 brothers, 2 of whom, I have learned also suffer from this disease. NF was never to be talked about in our home...it always brought on guilt and anger, if we were to question it...so the kids learned to never bring it up. I have learned so much over the past 2 yrs, and have decided that I don't want to hide any longer. I embrace what is, and choose to live life to the very fullest. Two of my six children also have NF. With MRI's, Eye exams, growth charting, learning disabilities, brain tumors---we embrace it all. For we know that we are in the Lords mighty company! |
